Kindle users will be able to quote and share their favorite passages on Facebook and Twitter because Amazon just announced the launch of new software. The version 2.5 firmware upgrade for Kindle and Kindle DX is set for a select number of clients for the time being but it is going to be released for the masses by the end of May
The new features, through the upgrade, will display crispier fonts, neat quality of texture and texts, enhanced security, more flexibility towards organizing and managing books and files. And most importantly, there is going to be a highlight feature for the overall Kindle community. Through this new feature, all Kindle users will be able to know about the most read books or passages online.
Social networking sites are also a sign that Amazon is planning on increasing the popularity of Kindle. Since Kindle has been in competition with Barnes and Noble, Sony and the new Apple iPad, so it needs to work on a strong marketing strategy.
Also, there has been a self publishing software release that is going to open its doors wide for “self made” writers. These writers will be able to sell their books through iTunes so they pose a threat to Kindle as well.
The new Kindle update will be delivered to all its users through a wireless download so no one is going to have any problems towards downloading it.
